G-Fest

Your February just got more fantastic !

Welcome the first ever G-Fest, a collection of fun-filled events being organised by the Google Students' Club. The fest is scheduled to be launched on the 2nd February, 2014. We have attached a light summary of all events we plan to bring, few of which are being conducted for the first time at BIT. Needless to say, goodies directly from the Google Headquarters for the winners.

• The SOS Blogs

One mind-bending problem would be published every week starting from 2nd Feb. Solve the problem and share the solution with us secretly. We at GSC are eagerly waiting for this event.
Lets see who has the metal it takes to solve these two toughies.

1. SOS-I  starts on 3rd Feb; last date of submission 9th Feb.
2. SOS-II starts on 10th Feb; last date of submission 16th Feb.

• Channelise

As they say, "if you can't explain something, you haven't understood it well".
What's the one thing you are an expert at? Create a demonstration video showing your expertise and upload it on Youtube.

• Photostory

Make a creative photostory, a picture series involving different photographs of Technika and Sports Fest and share with us. Your domain for photographs need not be limited to just 2014.

• Blogger's word

We will give you some keywords. Your job is to write an interesting 200-word blog using all those words. The best entry gets the best prize.

• App It Is

Show your prowess at making an Android App or submit your best creation till date. Just try your hand at app-making if its your first time. Relevant details and help guides would be provided alongwith the instructions.

• The Final Quest

The G-Fest would end with an offline event, The Final Quest conducted during Technika. A preliminary competition would run parallely with the above events. This prelim would help us determine the best 5 teams proceeding to the offline Final Quest. The format of the prelims and main round would be revealed soon.


A detailed instruction set for each of these events would be published at pre-planned intervals.
